SPRINT-A/EXCEED

EXCEED (EXtreme ultraviolet spectrosCope for ExosphEric Dynamics) is a telescope dedicated to planetary observations of extreme ultraviolet light. This telescope performs spectroscopic observation of the outflowing atmosphere and magnetospheric plasma existing around Earth orbit around the solar system planets (Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn). Yoshikawa Lab is designing and developing the optical system of the observation machine.

 

EXCEED was launched on epsilon rocket on 14th September 2013. The nickname of SPRINT-A is “HISAKI” decided.
